Provide Input on Improving the Water Trail Following the Removal of Pen Dam

Huron River in Ypsilanti, Michigan

Those who paddle, fish, or are otherwise interested in recreation opportunities on the Huron River are welcome to join a virtual discussion, Wednesday, August 25th, from 7-9 pm on Zoom. The Zoom Link is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89195853988

The City of Ypsilanti is hosting the meeting as a part of a series. The goal is to gather information about how to make the Huron River the best it can be following the removal Peninsular Paper Dam and the restoration of the impoundment to a natural, freely flowing river.

The Huron River Watershed Council is supporting this effort to help make the river safer for recreation, better for wildlife, and more accessible to all. We encourage you to provide input on uses for Peninsular Park, how you currently use the river, and

how you’d like to use the river in the future.

If you’re interested in providing comment but are unable to attend the meeting, you can provide written comments to the City using the form here.
