There are currently four campgrounds along the Huron River. They are only to be used when accessed from the river. All of the campgrounds have toilets, water (except for the campground at Island Lake State Recreation Area), and picnic tables. Reservations are required for all sites and there is a fee for camping.

Future camping sites may include Oakwoods Metropark between Hudson Mills and Lower Huron Metroparks. Check back for updates.

The Huron River Water Trail is a project of the Huron River Watershed Council and is managed by a consortium of interested groups and communities.
