There are several outfitters serving the Huron River. Heavner, Village, Skip’s, Argo, Gallup and Motor City offer paddling equipment for rent with transportation to the drop-off point or pick-up point. Some offer transportation for private boats and paddlers for a fee when contacted in advance.

Heavner Canoe & Kayak Rental, Milford

They offer flat water paddling on both Proud Lake and Kent Lake and 1 to 6 hour river trips to into Milford and locations in Kensington Metropark. Also available are moonlight paddles and paddles to Milford summer concerts.

Located in Milford (on the east side of town). They offer trips from Milford downstream to multiple locations in Kensington Metropark, provide transportation upriver to Proud Lake State Recreation Areas for a paddle back to the livery.
